The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) has been instrumental in supporting the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) in Jordan. Through a €1 million project implemented with the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) and the National School of Administration of Italy (SNA), AICS has helped the IPA enhance its training programs, promote digital transformation, and empower future leaders.
Key Achievements:
- Upgraded Training: New programs were developed and existing ones improved, resulting in a more comprehensive training experience for Jordanian civil servants.
- Digital Transformation: Over 900 public officials were trained in digital skills through Jordan’s first Training Program on Digital Transformation.
- Specialized Programs: The IPA developed a Training Diploma on Public Administration and Public Policy, as well as a program on Managing Projects Funded by International Donors.
- Leadership Development: The Government Leadership Program trained 1,576 public leaders, equipping them with the skills to drive reforms and modernize the public sector.
- Knowledge Exchange: Participants in the Leadership Program had the opportunity to learn from international best practices during a study tour to Italy.
- Innovation Hub: The IPA established an Innovation Lab to foster the development of innovative solutions for Jordan’s public sector.
A Commitment to Jordan’s Future
The Italian Ambassador, H.E. Luciano Pezzotti, emphasized the importance of this project in supporting Jordan’s public sector reforms. By strengthening the IPA and its training programs, Italy is investing in Jordan’s future and fostering a more effective and efficient public service.
The Future of Jordan’s Public Administration
With the successful completion of this project, the IPA is well-positioned to continue driving reforms and improving the performance of Jordan’s public administration. The new generation of leaders trained through the Government Leadership Program will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Jordan’s public sector.
