FIELD OFFICE

AICS - the Italian Agency for Cooperation and Development - is one of the key innovations established by the Italian law on international cooperation (Law No. 125/2014). The Agency began operating in 2016, with the aim of aligning Italy with its principal European and global partners in the endeavor of development.

AICS opened a field office in Jordan in July 2016, with the aim of  carrying out international cooperation initiatives to improve people’s living conditions, promote sustainable development, strengthen democratic institutions and rule of law, as well as sustain post-conflict stabilization with a focus on the Syria crisis. The Italian Cooperation's development and humanitarian programmes are implemented through solid partnership with Local Institutions, International organizations and CSOs.
