Jordan – Italy and Jordan sign a funding Agreement to improve wastewater services in Al-Sukhneh Palestinian Camp

The Italian Embassy to Jordan and the Department of Palestinian Affairs (DPA) signed today an Agreement for the implementation of the “Sustainable cities: upgrading urban wastewater systems in Al-Soukhneh Camp” initiative, financed by Italy through 1.75 million euros grant and focused on upgrading the wastewater network in the Palestinian Camp, that hosts nearly 7.000 residents.

Mission of AICS Director in Jordan: from Humanitarian Aid to Cultural Heritage Enhancement

From April 24 to 28, 2025, Marco Rusconi, Director of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), carried out an official visit to Jordan to strengthen collaboration with international partners and monitor the progress of Italian-funded projects in the country.

Il progetto Bothoor, un’iniziativa finanziata dall’Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo (AICS) e realizzata da COOPI e Fondazione Giovanni Paolo II, è stato il catalizzatore di questo cambiamento. Nascendo con l’obiettivo di sostenere le persone più vulnerabili, sia giordane che rifugiate siriane, il progetto ha offerto loro gli strumenti necessari per realizzare i loro sogni di piccola imprenditoria.
